I went on a bus excursion this wednesday to the monastries of Meteora. In greek meteora means that something i hanging suspended in the air, between heaven and earth. That's how it looked when they saw the monastries hanging in the air with the fog like clouds below. It wasn't foggy when I saw them but it still was impressing.

This is the largest one. The one we went inside. Do you see the stairs?

Ser ni trapporna!? Titta längre ned. Jag är fortfarande andfådd.

Do you see the stairs!? Look further down. I'm still out of breath.

The stairs from above in an attempt to catch the depth/hight.

I think it's beautiful with tiles. I think it's beautiful with stones and mountains.

A picture taken further down. The porous stone made it easy to make caves to live in. And to make them a bit up protected them from the enemies.
